The Perfect 4-Day Foshan Sourcing Itinerary

June 29, 2026 · 2 min read · Guide Foshan

Buyers often ask how long they need in Foshan. For a focused trip with a clear product list, four working days is the sweet spot: long enough to compare suppliers and negotiate properly, short enough to stay sharp. The key is giving each day a single, clear purpose instead of trying to do everything at once.

Day 1 - Arrival and briefing

Fly into Guangzhou (CAN) or via Hong Kong, get picked up and settle into a hotel near the markets. Use the evening for a proper briefing: walk through your product list, target prices, quantities and any non-negotiables. This is also when a guide finalises which specific showrooms and factories you will hit, so day two starts at full speed.

Day 2 - Furniture

Hit Lecong and Longjiang with a planned route. Compare a focused set of showrooms per category, log every quote against its minimum order quantity, and photograph products beside their prices. Flag two or three favourites per item rather than committing on the spot - tomorrow you will have benchmarks to negotiate against.

Day 3 - Materials and factories

Switch to building materials - tiles, sanitary ware, lighting or whatever your project needs - in the specialist markets. If a furniture supplier impressed you, slot in a factory visit to confirm they actually manufacture what they showed you. Seeing the production line separates real makers from middlemen instantly.

Day 4 - Negotiate and close

Now you have prices, samples and a feel for the market. Return to your shortlisted suppliers, negotiate firmly from your benchmarks, confirm specifications in writing, and place deposits where you are confident. Wrap up the shipping plan - consolidation, packing standards and timelines - before your airport drop-off.

A note on pacing

Resist the urge to add a fifth and sixth category. The buyers who leave happy are the ones who went deep on a few things, not shallow on everything. If your list is genuinely large, extend the trip - do not compress it.
